Bake for 8 to10 minutes, remove from oven. Then reduce oven temperature to degrees F. Whisk all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Pour the filling over the prepared crust. Bake until the filling is almost set, about 20 to 22 minutes.

Cool the bars completely in the pan set on a wire rack. Refrigerate the bars for at least 2 hours, until chilled. In a medium saucepan, bring the milk and cream to a gentle boil. Add the chopped chocolate and let stand for 30 seconds to melt the chocolate.

Whisk the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Set the topping aside to cool to room temperature for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cool. Pour the cooled white chocolate topping over the chilled bars and, using a small, offset metal spatula, spread it into an even layer. Freeze the bars in the pan for at least 1 hour before cutting. Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool for 5 minutes. Stir in the ginger liqueur and pour the syrup into a blender.

Add the mint leaves and blend until the mint is finely chopped. Transfer the syrup to a squeeze bottle and refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour. I know the world is divided when it comes to coconut-containing desserts. If coconut is not your friend, you can leave it out. These treats are made in two steps and contain easy to find ingredients. The bottom layer is a cookie crust made using store bought sugar cookie dough, pistachios, shredded coconut, and white chocolate chips.

The top layer is made with fresh lime juice, egg yolks, and condensed milk.

The first step is to chop up the pistachios. I left mine a little chunky this time, but you can chop them smaller if you prefer.

Helpful hint — in order to keep your sanity and the skin on your fingers intact, do yourself a favor and buy pre-shelled pistachios. My fingers were red and angry for several hours that day. Once the pistachios are all chopped, they get mixed with the sugar cookie dough and coconut.

The mixed dough then gets patted down thinly into a rectangular baking pan. Then, white chocolate chips are scattered on top and lightly pressed into the top of the dough.

It then bakes for about 20 minutes. The top layer is made while the crust bakes. To make the top layer, fresh lime juice from key limes or regular limes is mixed with egg yolks and condensed milk.

Side note: condensed milk is the most delicious thing to ever come out of a can. Borden, I am eternally grateful even though my jeans are tight.I was working on a new salad recipe the other day and I bought some pistachios to toss in there and since I pretty much always default to sugar-coating my salad ingredients the thought occurred to me that I had never candied pistachios.

I love the bright green color and unique flavor of pistachios and adding a sweet-crunchy glaze took them to a whole new level! This is the easiest, most simple method for candying any type of nut- simply place in a non-stick skillet with some granulated sugar.

This is the same method I shared for my candied peanuts as well. It only takes a few minutes and then you can slide them right out to cool on a sheet of parchment or a silicone mat.

Since I've made a tart with lemon curd a few years ago for the first time The only pie that has ever impressed me. It was definitely my personal win. So the first thing that came to my mind when I bought one kilo of limes was to make the same best ever tart but with lime curd.

It couldn't be a failure.
